How is it used?- It is mainly intended for communication over the internet to one another, such as in discussion forums and also allows 1 on 1 communication.
What is a Channel?- Is basically a chat room, users can join the rooms. The messages are sent to the chat rooms and then in return sent to the fellow users.
What are Commands?- Shorthand comments to issue commands to services.
IRC is used for communicating over long distances for businesses, company, etc. It is highly susceptible to being attacked, but if you have the right information and knowledge on how to counteract these attacks.
